Additional support and activities available

During student’s leisure time, there are a number of ‘leisure time’ activities. These include – computer club, cycling, library, Sensory story, disco, table top games, football and music. In addition there are a number of different activities that students are supported to engage with during their time in the playground.

There are after school clubs that are run by staff from Tuke. Students are identified for the after school activity that would be most appropriate for them. Current clubs include: hydrotherapy, Dance, Activities and Art.

Our staff run a summer activities scheme. Places are booked in advance and the staff skills are matched to the students needs. Parents are required to make a financial contribution. Transport to and from the summer activities scheme is provided where needed.

Who to contact

School staff maintain a regular dialogue with parents. If you have concerns about your child you can make contact with the class teachers via the home school diary, telephone, and arranged meetings or through school email. Messages received by the office and reception staff will be passed onto the class teacher.

If you would like to discuss any issues and concerns with the Head Teacher or member of the senior leadership team, you can phone the school office. If the person is available to speak with you they will help to resolve any issues. If you would like to meet in person you can arrange a meeting time.
